Friends of the Provincetown COA is a dedicated non-profit in Provincetown, MA. Committed to enriching the lives of seniors, our organization collaborates with the Provincetown Council on Aging to provide vital resources and services. By advocating for seniors, raising essential funds, and expanding community offerings, we strive to enhance well-being and foster community connections.
Friends of the Council on Aging Purpose and Responsibilties:
We are a tax-exempt non-profit organization (501(c)(3) dedicated to providing financial support to the local Council on Aging (COA) through fundraising efforts.
The key goal of the Friends is to collaborate with the Council on Aging director and COA board members. Friends of the Provincetown COA depends on seamless cooperation between the COA director, COA board members, and the Friends themselves. This collaboration enables them to secure funding for essential programs that empower older adults and enrich their lives, including hardship assistance, capital campaigns, volunteer recognition, social events, outreach, and much more.

Provincetown Council on Aging 2024 Senior of the Year
The Provincetown Council on Aging (COA) has named Provincetown resident Marsha Sirota as 2024 Senior of the Year. Marsha has been an active volunteer in the community for many years, currently devoting endless hours to CASAS, the Friends of the Provincetown COA and Helping Our Women.
